Hello Indiana Racquetball Friends and Family!

As many of you are already aware, racquetball courts are cautiously re-opening across the state of Indiana. This is great news and we at INSRA are excited to join all of you in returning to active play of the sport we all love!

However, many facilities, in an effort to comply with state regulations and social distancing guidelines, are not yet operating at full capacity. Most facilities have either temporarily repurposed some of their courts, are only offering singles play through the end of the year, or have otherwise limited the number of players that may gather in the courts or common areas.

Sadly, these precautions have impacted the Indiana schedule of events through the end of the year. Racquets for Rescues, the Lifetime/Gearbox and Great Pumpkin shootouts, and the Players Cup have all been cancelled for 2020.

As a result, we at INSRA are now shifting our focus to 2021 and creating the best event schedule possible! Our facilities are willing and eager to partner with us in the new year provided the pandemic cooperates. If you are interested in hosting an event in 2021, please contact us to reserve your date on the schedule now.

Additionally, now is a great time to consider joining the INSRA Board as we start mobilizing for next year. If you’re looking to make a difference and would like to join a team I know will be creating a great 2021, please reach out to any board member. We’d love to have you onboard!

In the interim, please take advantage of any courts available in your area to get “back in the swing” of things. And don’t forget to thank those facility directors for keeping courts open and available while we all work to stay safe and healthy.

Looking forward to catching up on a court near you soon!

Sincerely,

Laura Pesek
INSRA President
