Adam Taylor

Adam Taylor

Adam is originally from Shelbyville, Indiana, and has been playing racquetball since he was 5 years old (31 years). He uses the Head Extreme 160, and usually plays at the Southport LA Fitness, as well as the Carmel West LA Fitness and the Pendleton Pike LA Fitness. Adam has been to the US Open twice, in 2016 and 2017. His favorite racquetball memory is from when he was a teenager and Greenbriar was still open. Tournaments were usually 3 days long, and the bleacher seats in front of the 2 show courts were packed.
Chris Cerny

Chris Cerny

Chris was born in Chicago, but grew up in Indiana. She played racquetball for about 12 years, but for the first 9 years she wasn’t sure she was playing by the right rules! She’s been using a Gearbox 170 for years, and may be shopping for a new one soon. Chris usually plays at L.A. Fitness Glendale in Indianapolis, but will go anywhere to play! She HAS been to the US Open! What a fun event! She plans to attend every year, God willing. Chris’s favorite racquetball memory: The first time she got brave enough to enter an Indiana sanctioned tournament. She was so nervous that she hardly slept the night before. When Chris checked in at the club, she got a warm welcome regardless of her skill level. She had so much fun playing and met so many fun people, she was hooked from then on!
Jody Ashley

Jody Ashley

Jody is originally from Naples, Florida and transferred to Indianapolis in 1992 as part of the first franchise with Outback Steakhouse. He met his wife and raised his 4 children in Zionsville. Jody started playing racquetball in Naples as a teen. He and his brother would play all the time and he continued to stay involved with the sport. Jody is currently using a Gearbox Racket but was a fan of Wilson before that. He currently plays at the LA Fitness in Carmel, sometimes at the LA Fitness off Keystone. Jody has played in the US Open twice and is looking forward to next year’s tournament. He enjoys playing in Indiana tournaments, and says it’s great to meet new people, the games are always challenging. He is excited to be on the Board and is eager to see how we can grow the sport here in Indiana.
Matt Beals

Matt Beals

Matt has been a Hoosier all his life. He originally started playing racquetball at the age of 13 when his family had a membership at the Fitness Barn in Valparaiso. He stopped playing for awhile, and didn’t really start again till he was 30. He has been playing for around 9 years now. Matt’s first played with a Head racquet and he just stuck with them. Matt plays at the YMCA in Portage, where there are three very nice courts and lots of great people to play with. He has been to the US Open several times, just recently too–Matt ended up volunteering and doing security so he had the privilege of giving the pros a hard time! He doesn’t have any one particular RB memory that sticks in his mind—only the good friends he has made in this sport.
Mike Pace

Mike Pace

Mike was born in Mississippi, but grew up in Edwardsburg Michigan. He started playing in 1990, stopped playing around 1994 for about 12 years, started playing again, total about 16 years. Mike uses an Ektelon Toron 170 racquet. He currently plays at IUSB, in South Bend, IN. Mike has never been to the U.S. Open, always worked!! 2 years ago he conducted a benefit racquetball tournament for the Children’s Memorial Hospital in South Bend. All proceeds were donated to the Hospital. Over $2,000 was collected for this small tourney. Mike was very proud of the result.
